My witch is a troll who can speak to animals, greatly preferring their company to other people as she spends most of her days holed up in a cave.

It’s possible to bribe her out of hiding using food, but more often than not she’ll simply ramble on about caring for snails or the best way to teach a mouse to do a backflip.
