Lydia hovered upstairs, listening to the distressed Half Demon trapped in his room and could hear his shrill, heartbroken cries. She paused before his bedroom door and pressed her tiny left cat ear against it, uncovering his incoherent wails much clearer the more she focused on him; "WHY? WHY DID YOU DO THIS? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" he howled, echoes of the walls being bashed and scuffed clash alongside with his screams. Hearing these sounds broke Lydia's heart and sucked in a sharp breath before opening the door to see Damien slumped on the floor, burying his face with his bruised hands. He heard the door creek open and glanced up to see his soulmate, streams of tears falling from his cheeks and he proceeded to crumple further down to the floor, "Lydia..."; the door slammed quietly behind the Cattussapien as she threw herself towards Damien, kneeling down to his scrunched face and gently clasped both her hands on his shoulders, "Love, look at me." she implored woefully, pulling him up to his feet and began to caress his right cheek.

"Why are you still here? You should leave me. I-I don't understand." Damien hiccupped, friskily shaking his head until Lydia slowly moved her finger up his cheek, wiping his tears away; "I haven't left you because I still love you, Damien." she sighed contently, giving a small smile. Damien held her hand on his cheek and closed his blood-shot eyes, his body still quaking uncontrollably, "Even after what happened earlier? Even after what he did?".

Lydia's smile widened reassuringly and stroked her other hand on his left cheek, "Yes. 'He', as you refer to, clearly showed me that it wasn't you who did all that, but it's something in you that doesn't belong." she emphasised softly, her ears pricking up upon hearing Damien exhaling an airless breath; "I just need to know why you hid this from me since the very start?" she added in a slightly stern manner, her smile fading to an apprehensive frown and briefly held her breath as she prepared for her boyfriend's answer, or anything at all. The Half Demon closed his eyes once again, slumping his head slightly forward whilst avoiding making eye contact, "I was afraid." he reluctantly answered, his body relaxing into his dearest's touch as she poked her fingers onto his chin to push his face up to gaze upon her own, "I was afraid that you would leave me and see me as some deranged, manipulative beast.".

Lydia's frown shifted to a solicitous sadness, "Oh Damien...". He turned his head away and looked down to the floor, "I've hidden him from you throughout all these years. I've always fought him back but today-" Damien's eyes began to fill with tears again. Lydia leaned closer to her lover and pressed her head against his, the Half Demon's grip faintly tightened on his lover's hand, "I failed! I failed at protecting you! And I've failed with being honest with you! I'm... I'm a terrible boyfriend.". The quiet Cattusapien shimmied towards Damien's head and promptly kissed him on his forehead, "No you're not! You was scared and felt that keeping him a secret would protect me and you both. We've all made mistakes in the past and we're not gonna stop doing that, you just need to forgive yourself as I have forgiven you. You are the most perfect guy I've ever met!" she exclaimed, briefly softly his head between her hands.

Damien looked into his girlfriend's bright sapphire eyes and sighed, "I don't know if I can." he exhaled, briefly shuffling forward to get closer to his beloved. Lydia warmly smiled and moved her hands from his cheeks to his chest, "I believe you can." she calmly retorts, leaning forward to playfully rub her nose against the Half Demon's. Damien smirked and nervously chuckled, weeping lightly in between laughing, "T-thank you, s-sweetheart!" he hiccupped, his face scrunching up and swiftly pulled Lydia into a tight embrace, silently crying into his lover's shoulder. The Cattusapien lovingly giggled and rubbed Damien's back, "I will always love you and be here for you. But please, promise that you'll be more open to me about something this serious next time, alright? I want to help and protect you from him too!" she purred, barely rocking her soulmate side to side as she continued to hold him. Damien's silent sobs swiftly faded and he gently pushed himself off Lydia, looking at her with a sparkling smile. Lydia's smile mirrored the Half Demon's as she placed her left hand on his right, "Now, if you don't mind me asking, can you explain who 'he' is?" she asked, her body stiffening while she waited for her lover's answer; Damien's smile dissipated, clearing his throat to as he prepares to explain, " His name is Sunder and he is my demon half. The Edward Hyde in me so to speak. He's been around my whole life, he simply didn't make himself known until I was a preteen, and I don't think he's ever gonna go away. I got him from my father...".

After a long hour of explaining Damien heavily sighed and shut his eyes, rubbing his temples with his fingers and hunched slightly forwards, "I...I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this sooner. I wish I had...". Lydia tilted her head, surprised but also saddened for him, "Damien, it's okay! Gosh, you shouldn't have to go through all that!" she responded, her ears twitching downwards and fiddling with her fingers; Damien opened his bright eyes, cocking one eyebrow and emitting a low chuckle, "I still don't understand how you could forgive me so easily." he emphasised, scratching the back of his head with his left hand. Lydia tugged Damien closer and caressed his cheek, brushing his hair with the tips of her fingers, "Almost every person deserves a second chance. For you? I'd give you a million." she replied wholeheartedly with a cheeky grin, acknowledging how cheesy her line was and felt herself cringe inside. Damien tilted his head and chuffed in an amused yet flustered tone, "Lydia..." he exhaled, his illuminating eyes shining warmly to his lover before him until she fell forwards and laid her lips on his. Shock melting into pleasure, Damien emitted a breathless huff and locked on, giving a longing kiss to each other with an occasional content sigh escaping from their mouths; Damien cradled the back of Lydia's head while Lydia hung her arms on Damien's shoulders.

Finally, they delay their kiss and loosened their loving embrace, taking a breather and glanced into each other's eyes, smiling as the whole ordeal seemed to have been forgotten and things were back to normal. Damien smirked and stroked a few tiny strands of his girlfriend's hair out of her face, "Thank you Lydia, for everything. I love you so much." he hummed contently, carefully resting his right hand on top of her left. Lydia softly hummed back and lightly held Damien's hand up to her face, "And I love you too." she responded back, both smiling at each other while they went towards Damien's bed. The Cattusapien stood a bit behind Damien as he proceeds to take his shirt off, him turning around with a fiery warmness on his face and threw it towards the floor, "Would you like to spend the night with me, my love?" he asked in a low tone, snatching his pyjama bottoms from the foot of his bed. Lydia's heart began to race and melt, happy that he doesn't want her to leave and could finally put the horrible events of the day behind them. She nodded and briefly left the room returning to the room in her favourite blue silk nightie. She flipped the room's light off and slumped into bed next to Damien, who immediately grapples her in a tight cuddle and wrapped himself with her. They both smiled at each other, kissed each other once more before clasping their hands together and sighing, "Goodnight Damien." Lydia whispered, watching Damien pull her hands to his face and lightly kissing them; "Goodnight, my love." he responded, earning a slight giggle as she slowly drifts to sleep alongside with him.

She nodded and briefly left the room returning to the room in her favourite blue silk nightie. She flipped the room's light off and slumped into bed next to Damien, who immediately grapples her in a tight cuddle and wrapped himself with her. They both smiled at each other, kissed each other once more before clasping their hands together and sighing, "Goodnight Damien." Lydia whispered, watching Damien pull her hands to his face and lightly kissing them; "Goodnight, my love." he responded, earning a slight giggle as she slowly drifts to sleep alongside with him.
