Poor Ghost! He looks so, so frightened! With good reason, considering what those two twins were like in the book! Just love the expressions you gave all three characters! Even Ghost's body language says, "Get me Out of here!!! while the twins float and shimmer behind him in another "vision". Those creepy little spiders all over the background are a subtle touch. It's difficult to describe but there was something almost insectile about the twins and the way they drained their victims. They weren't the 'usual' vampires in the traditional sense at all.
This is a very nice piece, "first" test or not. The colours are muted (as good watercoloring often is) but still call attention to themselves. I'm not even going to ask how many paint swatches you worked through until you came up with just the right shades of candy-yellow and sugary-red for the twins and THEN had to come up with a silky pale yellow for Ghost! I don't think anyone's ever given the twins contrasting lipstick before. Yellow hair and red vs. red hair and yellow. Clever!! Fits their hedonistic performer natures!
