My preference is for the 1st, as it is lighter and more "drawn"-like, which I tend to favour... this one is Ok .... and neither one is better-worse, just different. This one is "darker" with less distinct detailing IMView ... so in the end if I had to pick only one, then it would be the other ...

cool, thanks for the input...
I agree, it's hard to compare two different pieces of software. I think eventually it's going to come down to functionality. So far, HDREfex Pro is winning

I am having a tough time deciding, although I think this one because of the clarity through the windows of the building on the right. The other image has a lot of either noise still on the glass or just smutch (whatever that is, but by the sound of it, it doesn't sound pleasant). Here the details are a bit more pronounced and the overall image is darker. I'm gonna say this one. Yup, this one here.

Questions though:
What is your comparison based on aside from the different softwares?
I mean, did you use similar settings?
Or just try to come as visually close as possible (like doing a side by side)?

It'd be interesting to hear. In the meantime . . . I think I've got to check this out.

When I did the processing I tried to match the new image to the original... but in the end, you really can't compare the two, because the controls are way different with HDREfex Pro. I think it will eventually boil down to preference

I like this one better, I feel like the colors are more natural and it's much smoother.

I cant decide which one i like better. I think this one has less of the HDR look to it. I have just seen the video for HDR Efex Pro and it looks amazing. Would like to see more pics from you using this software.
