Thanks   I had a great lens that let me take his picture from a far and safe distance.  Plus I kept our rented SUV and other people in between me and it at all times.

Thanks   I am actually terrified of bears, but even I thought he was super cute.  Glad I had a really long lens that allowed me to take the shot from far enough away that I felt safe.

Oh goodness that is a scary thought but was very 
smart of you to have safe areas to reach just in case
the bear wouldnt want his pic taken lol. I will check 
out your hubbys pic of the bear. I have a question why
did he pick a name like that for his profile? If you
dont mind me asking.

Not sure, he has been using it way before I even met him...I've never really questioned it.  If you knew his scene of humor you would get it more why he would use that kind of username...lol

He probably hasn't because he's been working lots of overtime and fighting a brutal cold (we both are) so he probably wont be on the site until the weekend and then respond to any comments.

Thanks   I agree.  I am actually terrified of bears, but am super glad I had a really long lens that allowed me to take pictures from far enough away that I felt safe.  I grew up in Northern Ontario and was taught all about bears and bear safety, so I know of the dangers that bears can pose.
