Description Was back home visiting my parents last month, just thought I'd share some of the pictures I took with you all.   While I was there I spotted this blooming Elderberry bush growing down by the pond on my parents property.   I hope you enjoy them too

Oh wow, I've never seen anything like this before. I don't think there are elderberry bushes near me. This is a great shot.

Thanks   They look a lot different with there berries on.  My parents didn't plant this bush, it just showed up one year near the bush line.  I don't think they are that common, not a lot of people like elderberries as they are quite bitter even when sugar is added and made into a pie, plus they kind of have a grittiness to them.

I'm really loving the colours of the flowers in contrast to the dark green background. The bit of bright light towards the top of the image is a really nice touch.

You are most welcome! I miss the warmer days. It was easier to get out and photograph, lol

Agreed.  Winter is always more difficult to me and makes me much less mobile then when it's warmer and there is no ice.

And today its 63 here, haha. About two weeks ago it was trying to snow. Not that I'm complaining. The cold makes my hands and knees lock up. Plus, there is more activity from wildlife in warmer weather (though the deer come closer to our house).

It's freezing where I live, but that what i get for living in northern Canada.  I live in a city so unfortunately no deer to wander near where I live, your so lucky to be able to see that.

I would love to visit Canada once day

This is very true, haha. They walk down the streets all the time, especially in the winter. Its really neat to see. I'll walk back into the woods with my dog and get photos of them. I love it <3

Thanks   It's to bad that all of the berries were picked off already before I got this shot, they are quite pretty when full of berries too.  They look so different when full of berries.

Thanks, I thought so too   I think without has it's own beauty too   Plus capturing it without the berries makes it less risky that I would be dive bombed by birds that love these berries...lol I have had that happen in the past and I was unable to get any good non blurry shots because every time I tried they dive bombed me until I just gave up and left.

Thanks This is what it looks like when all the berries have been all picked off by the wild birds in the area, when they are full of berries they look very different then this.  I think they are very pretty no matter weather full of berries or barren.
