Sort of a book cover concept

This is a concept piece based on a story I came up with today, I tend to come up with a lot of stories This one is part of a book that I've titled "The Tales of Edgwin" ... well that is the tentative story title... it is a quest roughly to defeat an evil mage that is turning maidens into stone, in this case the princess of the realm... Hard to describe but the style of writing falls more into a Beowulf, saga, style... mixed in with the true story of what happened and not the minstral/storyteller embellished version

This is a really fun piece in some regards. I have a technique of creating mist that I was playing with... and I am using one of my own textures... that and blending things a little bit together... usual fun. I like how it turned out
