Me too, I wonder what his animal (or insect XD) he is due to them o.o
Maybe this means he'll return in episode 39 or 40. I saw some other spoilers on Tumblr and I think he is the key to the Cures's new forms since they were in trouble then he used the wand and they got new forms before beating Glaive.
(He finally got his dream of becoming a Precure come true )

(omg, if it turns out that he is a butterfly or something then that... I didn't know that when creating Cure Vanilla (aka future Cure Pikario, if you know what I mean 
I'm so happy that he finally returns. It's about time, Toei. Seriously, I was always wondering why they didn't just use Animal Go Round on him. You can't tell me that the amount of kirakiraru they use during that attack isn't enough to save him xD
