Description
It's only natural that Spongebob would get an episode that focuses on the myth of Atlantis. The show has done episodes centered around sea-based legends (Shanghaied for the Flying Dutchman, Neptune's Spatula/The Clash of Triton for the gods of the sea, Squidward is obviously the Kraken) and they're always the ones that have the most adventurous themes in them. The same cannot be said for this sunken wreck of an episode, which acts like a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory parody but with more bubbles and less fun.

I really like what they were going for here. Its take on Atlantis is very different to many others, with a cross between alien technology and Greek architecture. The whole place feels very enchanted and mystical. Everything needed for a good episode is here, but it all goes to waste in the end. That is, for me, the worst thing about this episode.
