Description So . . . this is probably a weird one, especially since it's nowhere near Halloween. And I already did this guy, so you're probably wondering what in the name of Galvan Prime are you do FW1? Well, for those that didn't ask, I'll answer anyway! Long story short, the great and wonderful requested a list of Anur-related aliens some time ago and I've now just gotten around to filling out the whole roster, the last of which just happens to be their interpretation of an Omerowon (you know, those alien zombies that everyone wishes we could have seen at some point).

For those that are confused, just pretend that the two Omerowons/zombie-like aliens are apart of the same species with different appearances. You know, something that UAF did really horribly? Ok, maybe that's a bit below the belt.

Anyway, onto the facts!

Name: Zombone

Species: Omerowon

Home World: Anur Omerow

Powers/abilities: Due to be little more than sacks of flesh with bones and organs haphazardly placed inside them, Omerowons are capable of contorting themselves into virtually every shape imaginable, allowing them to slip through places that would otherwise be difficult to fit through. This also lets them to effortlessly dislocate any of their bones and then pop them back into place with no harm whatsoever.

In addition, Zombone can fire off bone spikes from his body.

Once again due to being little more than sacks of flesh with body parts randomly shoved inside of them, Omerowons are capable of detaching their limbs for various reasons, such as using one of their ribs like a boomerang or firing off their hands like a pair of rocket-powered gauntlets, and then reattaching them. Because the tendons and ligaments and their over all body structure are so flexible, they can literally survive being ripped apart and then pull themselves back together when the coast is clear.

In addition, Zombone's detached limbs act as soldiers of sorts, allowing him to sense whatever they touch or 'see' and then absorbing that information when they reconnect with him.

All Omerowons - with the exception of Zombone - are part of a hive mind that allows them to effortlessly 'speak' with one another telepathically over long distances in order to stage traps and attacks.

Like the other inhabitants of the Anur System, Omerowons are immune to the effects of Corrodium.

Weaknesses: Despite being rather durable to the point of near-indestructibility, Zombone is rather shoddily 'made' and comes apart rather easily. His limbs will sometimes pop off and scamper away for no particular reason, forcing him to chase it down if it doesn't want to listen to him.

Zombone's head is his biggest weakness. If it is destroyed, there's very little chance that he will be pulled back together, even with the Omnitrix's fail safes.

Omerowons are incapable of regenerating the bones that they throw - as well as pretty much any other part of their body - and need to pull themselves back together in order to achieve normal locomotion.

Omerowons are not known for their eloquent language.

Etymology: Zombone's name is a portmanteau of the word "zombie", the creature that he is based off of, and "bone", referencing his exposed skeletal structure and bone-related abilities.

Trivia: "Ormerow" (minus the W) is an anagram of "Romero," a nod to the late George A. Romero, creator of the classic zombie film Night of the Living Dead, and its sequels.

Despite their less than inventive appearance, some Ormerowns are reasonably intelligent, although they do have trouble talking with other species due to their faulty vocal cords.

Unlike every other Ormerown, Zombone has a fully functioning brain that allows him to connect and disconnect to the Ormerown hive mind whenever he wants to; Ben compares it to connecting and disconnecting from different Wifi signals.

Anur Omerown is a normally barren landscape dotted by towers and spires of Corrodium whose presence is so vast that they give the entire planet an eerie, purple glow, which prompts most visitors to stay as far away from it as possible. Interestingly, it's these same Corrodium towers that allow the Omerowons to reproduce unlike virtually any other species in the galaxy. The large pillars of Corrodium are extremely fragile and sizable chunks frequently break off in the harsh winds that sweep across the planet-wide wasteland, splintering into thousands upon millions of shards that, more often than not, find themselves embedded into the skin of an unwary Omerown.

It's then that the shard begins to have a peculiar reaction with it's host unique genetic makeup, causing a welt or puss-filled sack of sorts to form around the Corrodium shard. It is in here that over a period of several months that a second, infant Omerowon will form inside of the sack, upon which it will then tear itself out. This process, while rather bothersome to Omerowons that get stuck carrying around a parasite of sort that leeches off their body and causes their movements to slow down, causes no pain to the host itself. It's only when an Omerowon is infected by multiple Corrodium shards that things can get rather gruesome.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ben 10.
Ben 10 is owned by Man of Action and Cartoon Network.
I do not own Zombone. This is merely my interpretation.
Do not use this version of Zombone without Shadow-DJ 's permission.

As I said before, I don't really like giving Ultimate forms to fan-made aliens.

Well hypothetically if you did what would an Ultimate version of this form be like?

Probably some gigantic amalgamation of bodies with multiple faces and limbs in random spots all over the body. Maybe they'd evolve the ability to fire off their limbs, which detonate and explode after a few seconds or something. Not really sure.

Cool, I always love seeing what other people come up with for the other planets in the Anur system. I've tried my hand at it too, my version of an Ormerown, Rigor Mortar, is capable of generating organic explosives or "flesh bombs" the are fired/spat out of a mouth in the chest. They can also perform a kamikaze style attack by blowing up their entire body after detaching their heads, which have tentacles for mobility and not because I wanted to see a zombie with Predator dreadlocks. They can regenerate their body but it takes awhile, making it a last option type attack. The bombs could also come in different varieties like normal explosive, flash-bang, and one that coats everyone nearby in a paralyzing toxin. Because this toxin can cause discoloration in the skin along with severely slurred speech and shambling movements as it starts to wear off, the few times other species have encountered Ormerowns they often assume they're the cause of some kind of "outbreak". This usually results in an unfortunate end for almost all that were involved.

Now that you bring it up, one of the original concepts I had with this guy (or at least, my version, Deathbreath. This was a commision by Shadow-DJ, so he can up with the powers and stuff) was the exploding head bomb gimmick, or at least the fact that he could separate his head and send in his body to blow itself up kamikaze style before regenerating a new one. Great minds think alike, I suppose!

Would Ben use this form to trick modern zombies into thinking he’s one of them?

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Almighty777 [2019-05-20 09:01:49 +0000 UTC]

I mean, there would have to be modern zombies in the first place. But yes, he would probably be able to get away with it.

Or with Echo Echo and his ultimate form. The Zombies in HOTD can only hear anything, so I imagine an ultra sonic blast would kill them easily.

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Almighty777 [2019-05-20 20:43:40 +0000 UTC]

True. Just about any of his aliens could kill them if utilized properly (except probably Walkatrout and the Worst. Hard to defeat zombies when your only power is ridiculous slipperiness and being indestructible).

I imagine Diamondhead being his go-to-alien for them. Incredibly strong to easily crush their skulls, and a strong crystal body that if the zombies tried to bite him, their teeth would shatter in impact.

Imagine Takeshi and the students reaction to Ben.

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Almighty777 [2019-05-20 21:15:27 +0000 UTC]

Diamondhead, XLR8 (too fast), or Rath if he really wants to brawl (the guy took a laser blast to the face and point blank range without a scratch. I think he's safe from getting bitten, unless those zombies have some really strong or sharp teeth).

Attempting to think of zombie scenario, but can't. I mean, he's just punching them and they don't really fight back. It's pretty much a one-sided battle, no matter what form he takes (with a few exceptions, of course).

Heatblast would incinerate them to ashes. Echo Echo would sonic blast then to death, and Big Chill freezing them in a massive block of ice.

Damn. Now I really want a Ben 10 and Highschool of the Dead crossover.

Almost like a cross between a regular zombie and a Licker from Resident Evil (mainly the exposed brain and razor-sharp teeth, as Zombone obviously has no 10-foot-long killer tongue...). I can dig it!

If Ben as Zombone, Skelita, and Frankie were to accidentally collide and all fall apart in a pile of mixed parts, that'll be one hell of a wacky set of puzzles to put back together. XD Especially if Maddie, Lizzie, or Whisp happen to be the ones trying to reassemble them. Ha!

Nice one, bro! Now that's a form that might help Ben know what it feels like to walk in the shoes of his "deader halves". XD (Get it? Deader halves? Better halves? As in the living-impaired members of his Ghoulfriends?) Man, with some effort, we could make MH have more dead puns than Beetlejuice. Heh... Saying that, now I wonder how Ben and his Omnitrix Club might fare in the Neitherworld. Beware of sandworms, Ghoulfriends....

(goes back to patiently waiting for our conversation to continue)

As a certain Lord of the Underworld would say . . . "Oi . . . puns . . ."

That being said, I do imagine that Maddie or Whisp (not so much Lizzie. In comparison to her Wonderland friends, she's one of the more mature members of the group due to her royal upbringing. In comparison to other royals however . . .) would get a kick out of trying to put them back together. You remember that one episode of the OG Teen Titans where they crash landed on an alien planet (it was mostly a Robin/Starfire centered episode) and Beast Boy had to try and put Cyborg and the T-Ship back together, only to keep doing it wrong (mostly because he doesn't understand engineering in the first place)?

That's what I'd imagine it would be like.
