...chosen lifestyle...a picture I had in mind for a long time, although it came out different than expected. But it works for me. The message's still the same...
Thanks goes out to *aap for takin the role of the model, and to *fritsch for playing good old grim reaper.
I'm thinkin of doing a "grim reaper series". It has a loto potential.

very strong delivery of such a simple message, I love how one of the bottles isn't open yet like he was still going to keep going on the way he has been if it wern't already to late. I belive one word can describe this quite well, Deep.

wow. Can't say I've ever seen this before. Great concept. It is a little hard to actually see the reaper at first, though, at least it was for me. Maybe it could be better emphasized with a different angle, rather than just straight on. He's barely in the corner of the shot, this way.

I like the concept and execution with the exeption of the reapers hand.. It looks plastic-y... I like the scythe and general reaper/room setup....

There's has been an explosion of black and white lately, but this is by far one of the best pieces I've seen. It's quite powerfull, because it looks so natural. The botells spiled, the man with his head down. And yes, I like this little touch. It intrigues me: What expression could this man's face have?
The lighting is nothing spectaculous, but it works with the subject and looks really good in reflecting on those bottels on the table.

It's nice to see someone who realized that, YES, it is a choice. It's not just who you are. I'm SO tired of hearing people wine about how terrible their life is, and doing nothing to help it and everything to just keep it the way it is. Excellent concept A+

i hadn't actually notced the grim reaper until i read the comment, and it surprised me.. love the contrast as it appears to keep the grim reaper discrete and hidden, although that might just be me looking at it wierd from the tft screen, but anyway, excellent shot look forward to seeing the series sounds intriguing
... now the more i look at it can't see how i missed the reaper!

I am definitely feelin' it, however, I think it'd be a little more eerie and maybe even more "realistic" without the skeletal hand. If perhaps Grim was just lurking behind him and not touching him.
However, definitely an A+ idea and I hope you plunge further into a series...

on one hand I love this, on the other I think that it would be better without mr. skeleton .. its a bit. .mm... without that it makes me think of Lock, Stock & Two smoking barrels ..which is a good thing offcourse

Grim reaper series has a lot of potential. Esp. if you steer away from the common stereotypical shots of death, dying and/or horror.

nice photography, still, i think the reaper is a little too litteral. let people read your photography without telling them the story for them.
