Description Title stolen from a song from one of the Sailor Moon musicals...

Anyway, her story is that she's half fire elemental, and her poppa loved her so much he had himself bound into her kama and headband-crystal-thing to help her be the BEST ninja EVAR.

At least, one of the least stealthy ^_^;;

Anyway, thanks to Steph-Ko for making me wanna drawl a ninja...

Oh and by by by the way, I tried a lot of different methods for showing the reflected firelight, and I wasn't happy with either...Anyone help?

Also, the hair style on this one and the nude chick on the beach is stold from Keysha-chan...check out her work, AMAZING markering and even more amazingly prolific!

!!!!!! >D *does happy ninja dance* Wacha~! My influence spreads like ebloa~! *=^_^=* Wee~

Firstly, I would like to mention that I favor her ninja outfit. ^_^ Very kunoichi and determined/strong without having to revert to obvious curves to draw attention. She looks like quite an opponet.
Plus, shes fire ninja. Fire ninja makes Steph-ko ninja happy *throws shuriken*

As for the fire-- I've had problems with elements myself. *blinks* What did you do that was different than your other attempts?
I personally think it looks alright *although, you might want to shrink the image size a tiny bit, as suggestion*-- but since you are disatisfied with it, what I can recommend is purely practice of flames on blank peices of paper. Consider flames as thick hair or ribbons, each strand goes in its own path according to the gravity of the situation, followed by lesser folds of flame- get the highlights and lighter/yellow colors done first, then add the darker and reds later, as they'll meld over the light colors. If you use prismacolors, use the flat, thicker ends for this, as they can give very sharp strands when wisked.
A good exercise is to actually put long hair in water and watch as it flows. The stands spread and mix together and the ends resemble much of 2-D fire. Since the image is still and not in constant form like real fire, this flow form can help a lot-- you can add rigid details sometimes to make the fire look " chaotic" if you want. ^_^; Worked for me as I am a girl with long hair-- but I'm sure a doll with non-curly hair can work. If not that, conk out one of your friends and give them a dip in the tub *sweatdrop*

Anyway, I hope what I say helps-- as honestly, its high and mighty of me to make any comment, as a lot of my element pictures never come out all that great. I assure this is a "do what I say, not what I do" situation, but if it helps, then I'm content. *waves a fist* Ganbaru cha!

Hounou no MESSANGA... *whistles* Man, has it been a while...

I've got girly long hair myself, but yeah, I'll try that! I was also concerned about how the light shone off of her outfit and hair and stuff...Due to a wonderful lack of planning ( ^_^;; ) I didn't have a lighter area, thus the light from the flame...made the reflection spot darker...Ug. Oh well.

Thankeeee!!! *Squeeee* *Bounce*

Meeh, I do that myself as well *the lighting issue* Do you remember that Halo picture I drew? The feet/legs look alright in shadding matters, but as you go up, the picture, although a joke, lacks attention, as I forgot to shade.
The way that I've learned to deal with light shading, is simply at the beginning of every picture is to DO IT-- or more so, remember the lights first, then the darks ^_^; Even if I have to scribble it on scratch paper to remember while coloring, it helps.

"When doing lights, remember to pencil the direction of the light on the object. If the light is from the right, then it will go right upward/downward. Once you set the lightest color, that being white or whatnot, then work with the mids, and then the darks for further effect if nessecary. Practice, and never be afraid to redo your artwork." --

Words I have been informed/come conclusion do and am still practicing of to this day. I hope they help, as they've helped me advance to my point currently.

^_^ *squees herself* No problem at all! I only hope this all helps in anyway. *wishes you much faith and accomplishment-- Muwaha~*
