I love this family so much!
Β I was listening to We are Family by Keke Palmer from the Ice Age: Continental Drift. I just thought it fit so well!
You have Timon who is the adoptive father of Simba, which makes him Kiara and Kion's adoptive grandpa. Pumbaa who is the uncle (since he and Timon have a brotherly relationship) that Simba never had, which makes him the adoptive great uncle to Kion and Kiara. And Bunga is Simba's cousin/brother since he's the adopted nephew of Timon and Pumbaa plus they have a brotherly bond. Which also makes Bunga kind of like an uncle of Kion and Kiara too XDDΒ

If you donβt mind me asking, with your headcanon in mind, how do you see the events of TLK2 playing out? Because Simba was WAY to aggressive in that movie, and I feel your take is more true to the original film.

Plus, I thought I was the only one who noticed that probably Timon is the only one Simba's adoptive father while Pumbaa is Simba's adoptive uncle, so I'm glad someone shares my view.
In fact, in the third movie, Simba said to Timon "What's the matter pops?" and when the lion had a bad dream, had to drink and had to "go to the toilet" during the night, he always called Timon and not Pumbaa. In the second movie, when Kiara fell in a pond and Pumbaa wanted to save her, he said "Uncle Pumba's coming."
This is what convinced me that Simba had two different relationships with Timon and Pumbaa.
About Bunga, I guess Pumbaa wanted to be as important as Timon to the cub, unlike what happened with Simba, and so they decided to make the badger call both of them "uncle".
