Cool cartoon villain #35 is the evil leader of the Un-Men, Anton Arcane from the very short lived Swamp Thing cartoon. Swamp Thing the animated series only had 5 episodes and ran in 1990 and 1991. While I enjoyed the movies back in the 1980s, Swamp Thing being one of my favorites of the 80s superhero movies, the cartoon was a bit dodgy in my book. It seemed to have some really cool ideas, but some not taken to their fullest potential. That's how I remember the cartoon, though admittedly I cannot give any good examples where this came from. I often caught the show right after night auditing all night at the local motel I worked at and then passed out from the need for sleep.

The theme song was unfortunate, and the writing wasn't great, but the character designs were cool. I find the cartoon has a real Toxic Avengers kind of vibe. The live action show and movies were better.
