Well, Opals are typically associated with the elements. Pink Opals very specifically are associated with water and earth, and are said to be soothing, so maybe the ability to invoke silence? And healing abilities, as Opals are often said to contain healing properties.

Interesting idea. It'll have to have it's limits, though. I don't want another Rose over here. And Lazulis themselves are already tied to water in the SU universe, which is ironic since water actually harms the gem. So while the crew does take into account meanings behind the gem or certain information I don't really think it's necessary for the oc to have everything to do with the meanins behind them.

Yeah, that's true. I usually try to connect a gem to its meanings, but not all of them lol. (For example, pink pearls are usually associated with good luck. Fuschia is the unluckiest and most troublesome Pearl possible.) I'd try to have a max limit like 1-2 on powers of a gem, because we aren't talking Alexandrite over here. OvO

They're very powerful powers, though. Not necessarily in a physical sense but they can easily take lower ranked enemies down.
Of course, Rhodochrosite wouldn't fall easily, but since she has the build of a Pearl, I think she would need powers as such to contribute something that makes her worthy of such a title.
If you're wondering, they will effect the gem/creature her powers are used on emotionally and mentally. What fun.

Mind powers are always cool. OvO Mental and emotional manipulation is the best way to take someone down, especially a gem. And with Rhodo, I'm not too sure. She's pretty evenly built, but with her long legs, I think physically, with a fusion, one could knock her down, despite her powers. (Great, now I want to draw a fusion...) With the Pink Opal we're talking about, the rank would kinda depend on how fully powerful powers we're talkin here. Like, a Knight or so might not be appropriate rank for real power. A delegate or Queen might be good for super powerful powers. โข3โข

She could erase full memories of the war, but it would drain her and would take...to put it simply, not a short while.

Yes. She can swoon and change the emotions of a gem. She can aid her partners by making them more calm, as well as corrupted gems. She can also break down her enemies with the burden of such emotions. She's mean and I love her.

She just thought the rank was too high for her figure and design, and her powers were too much, as they could control a good lot of the court and were too emotionally exhausting.
But, yeah-they'd be salt overload. They'd be thirstier than Pearl in the desert in 100 degree weather.
