Morty, the gym leader of Ecruteak City in Heart Gold, Soul Silver version.I hope I'm not the only one that totally freaked out about the new design of him. Not so much a design as a fashion change. Its suits him so much better as a ghost trainer. That being said, I revolved everything around his style There are...seven or eight ghost Pokemon. You can tell by the distinctive eyes. Most are Morty's rematch line up. One or two is duplicated but anyway...
Morty rules.
Nuff said.
I loved the Johto games. HG/SS are amazing. A truly great remake to a wonderful continuing series.

The costume does make him look more like a ghost-type gym leader. ^-^
And it's a great costume but, the red on the end of the scarf is what's been bothering me about this one.

The red on the end kind of made me tilt my head. When i think of ghost. I think purple, black, dark dark blue....but not red. White, perhaps, or grey. I think they were going with Ecruteaks new season theme. Autumn x) So I can accept it.

Exactly. Because they're ghost-ish/gloomy colors. But, the white pants work well the costume.
As for the Autumn-theme I am obsessed with drawing things related to Ecruteak city and the Legends. That piece of Official art marked a new era for poke'mon scenery art, you almost could'nt tell it was poke'mon related if you were'nt an older or informed fan of the series. *o*
