It hasn't been ages since I played BBS---I did do a piece of art around the time it was released because I shipped Terra/Braig (I still do). But after looking at this when I was done all I could think about was like...BRAIG, I MISS YOU----

For real though its to define a contrast of Braig and Xigbar. Since you technically don't see the transition point of it happening. You see the point where it obviously has----but not the critical possession itself.
