You're welcome! I've recently started watching Adventure Time (I know, I'm pretty behind, aren't I? I still haven't watched Steven Universe or Gravity Falls either) and I utterly love the backstory of the Ice King. It's so tragic, but it warms my heart.

lol don't worry, I only watched until Season 5, for some reason the story got too dark for my taste that I had to step down
But yes, I completely agree when it comes to the Ice King^^ Simon/Ice King became my favorite after I learned his backstory
omg you have to watch those two, especially Gravity Falls (it's a masterpiece <3 )

I have to admit, I don’t particularly like dark media either (I wasn't bothered with Dr Who when Steven Moffat became the head writer - before then the show was warm and funny, which was why I watched it in the first place) but I've seen some clips from later seasons of Adventure Time and they were very good. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I like season 5 and onwards when I watch them!
Since I haven't got Cartoon Network or Disney XD on my TV, it could be a while before I get the chance to watch Steven Universe or Gravity Falls (and I refuse to watch them on illegal websites!) but I'm hoping to get the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender for Christmas on DVD.

lol, actually, i really like dark media (if my account is anything to go by)
though idk, when shows start as warm and fuzzy then go dark at the end, i lose interest. 
i went through that process with adventure time and doctor who actually like i don't mind when it gets dark but 
in those two shows there's a certain element that they lose that makes them uninteresting for me.
haha, good luck on watching, there's a lot of episodes.

I'm British and the DVDs are readily available and inexpensive online, so I've got not excuses, haha! On the other hand, I have several American and Australian DVDs of shows that never had a DVD release in the UK (or were very expensive on Region 2 discs!)

Most of my Teen Titans discs are American, I have both Australian and American releases of Young Justice and season 2 of Wizards vs Aliens is also on Australian DVDs (it's crazy they only released season 1 on UK discs - it's a British programme!)
