I lost internet for a few days last week. It was out when I left town too. I'm in a hotel in upstate new york right now. I'm leaving tomorrow. Hopefully my home internet connection will be restored when I get home. I don't have to work so I might bum around up here for a while. I drove up.

Oh, I've spent the past six months waiting for Spring! Now it is here, and I can finally get outside to the garden for a little while.
Are you having a great time in NY? You say 'upstate', so you are not in the Big Apple itself? I loved the time I spent on holiday around Robert Moses State Park. It is very beautiful there. The big ships travel along the canal over the road. It is quite something to see.
I hope you post some photos of your trip. I enjoy seeing where you have been visiting. I really like those of the area near Jim Thorpe that you posted a while ago.

I was on a trip for work for just a few days. I was staying in Holtsville NY and that is pretty close to Long Island. I asked the clerk at the hotel where was there a place that was photogenic and nearby and she gave me directions to that little town. I would have shot more pics there but it was cold, the weatherman said it was going to be warmer but it wasn't and all I had was a light spring jacket. I drove up so I had a car. I did plan on taking a friend from the city to lunch but the traffic in town was pretty bad and was was a little unsure of where I was so I bailed on the idea. I'm home now. I've been staying in for the past six months too. I really haven't gone anywhere interesting. I didn't ski even once this year.

What are you doing for work, anyway? I'm not sure you ever mentioned your professsion. When you go away on business, do you have to pay for it, or is it on expenses? That must be nice, combining work and pleasure at the same time!
Nothing exciting on the Ontario front, I'm afraid. It has been a bitterly cold and boring winter. I hope to get started on my garden this weekend.
