Description Needlefelted out of wool, with a Sculpey beak and paper machΓ© legs.

The kea, Nestor notabilis, is a ground-dwelling parrot that lives in the mountains of New Zealand. It is a very curious, highly intelligent bird, who has adapted gracefully to the changes introduced by man to its environment. One of the behaviors the kea has developed in response to man's intrusion, in this case the introduction of sheep, is the habit of eating sheep. This tiny parrot perches atop a sheep's back and just starts eating the fat around its kidneys. Hardcore. It's not an aggressive animal; just very resourceful.

Awesome! Rare New Zealand parrots don't get nearly enough love. except for those Kakapos, stodgy jerks
I love this! The careful gradation of colors and the wicked-looking beak are great!

Oh yes, too many times! I think that the kakapo is the one animal on earth that could manage to be stodgy and randy at the same time.
