I've been thinking more about the world that Clover and Wilson live in. Previously I just placed them in a run down harbor but the thought occurred to me that it's quite possible the tentacles would have run off all the local wildlife, or at least most of it. This would lead to the girls being able to go into the ocean without fear of anything other than tentacles, though it would still be rather unpleasant to have a run in with said squirmy intruders

What I do with commissions is make a pool of people who are interested and then choose randomly from that pool. After a month of taking commissions I reset the pool and continue choosing.Β

Ok feel free to use these ideas for your universe:
The tentacles called "Suckers." by Wilson and Clover are a giant species of aquatic squid and octopus hybrid discovered in the marianas trench by a group of divers unknown to the divers Suckers are linked by a hive mind and spread quickly they find either deep or shallow pockets near a populated area to detect food and once they've found it they begin their feeding on the unsuspecting food source ie. humans,animals,etc. the reason Clover and Wilson have survived so long is that the Suckers have a weakness to blunt force with various hard or sharp objects hence the paddles and other weapons that Clover and Wilson use also some of the Suckers are known to play with their food before they eat it hence the slapstick situations throughout the drawings.
