I'm attending my grandfather's funeral this Sunday and it really got me thinking about life and it's eventual end.I think the best death one can possibly have is when they can embrace it as a friend, a bringer of everlasting peace.

Mm, make me think of my aunt. She died having surgery. She was only 25. It makes me realize how short life can be and how easily and fast it can be taken away from you.

The only close one I have lost was my grandfather, but he was well over his 80s with a good life behind him, so I can't imagine how you and your family must have thought of that
But for most of us, death is uninvited and does whenever he sees fit. Sadly, sometimes way too early.

Sorry for your loss. I too lost my dearest grandmother almost a year ago, but I think and hope she was ready to go.
