Description Drawn at art class.
Practised lighting and shading at the same time, on the brownish, unbleached paper.

Used: white pastel, 6B and HB pencils. Almost 2 hours.

Sillähän on melkein yhtä vänkyrä lantio kun meikällä (Pistää jalat kääntymään sisäänpäin) Paperi tekee tästä harvinaisen autenttisen. Varjot/muodot hahmottuu tässä työssä tosi hyvin.

Meillä on tuommoista kuvisluokassa, mutta muualla en ole nähnyt. Pitää kysyä kuviksenopettajalta mistä se sitä oikein saa o_o

Me thinks you should use this kind of paper more often. ;D It adds a great deal to the overall composition. Your shading looks nice as usual, but adding some white and a bigger amount of another colour makes it look more whole. Very pretty! I think this might be my favourite drawing by you so far.

I got some from the art class, and I think the class ran out. I haven't seen the paper anywhere else, maybe I'm bad at looking for stuff or just blind

Very nice Be careful about mixing the white pastel into anything, like near the top of her skirt on the left side; it will always turn out looking muddy. You did a good job for the first time doing this, but remember that it is an exercise in how light hits an object. Where you colored in underneath the skirt all white it feels very flat. If you had only hinted at where the light would hit there and mainly kept it the brown of the paper with more shadow than light it would have really looked nice. Keep up the great work, you are always improving

Yep, there's no clear point where the light is coming in this... But i'll keep practising!
And that muddyness thing, I noticed it while doing, but it was very hard to erase without making it more muddy I think next time I'll use the white pastel first, so it'll be easier to avoid that Thanks!

well, i think its impressive that you drew it on wood; very cool. its a bit anime-ish, but its also very good so i'll let it slide. i feel, however, that there is far too much negative space. wood usually can make up for that, but there should just be something going on there. even a simple shadow for the girl would make it better. A- over all.
