Attola had been a writer for most of her life, she and her mother having lived in Day City for her first two years of her life. She was exceptionally smart and greatly talented and wrote a great deal of poems that were sold and eventually allowed her and her mother to sink to the upper part of Twilight City. Her mother stayed with her for a 4 years after before she went on her own sinking towards the lower part of Twilight City and one day stopped visiting her daughter to take over half of what her daughter earned. Attola never found out what happened to her, but she assumed she was killed. Attola has earned enough money for herself to sink lower, but she refuses to do so. She gets visitors from lower Twilight City and finds them rather rude and snobby at times and she dislikes the thought of becoming one of them.
