Omg it's so terribly late, but at last finished. This is *TarriedSea 's first prize artwork of her lovely, unique and amazing Aquiletan x Elquider mare OC Faljin from a contest I held about a year ago. Unfortunately Tarried has announced she will be leaving dA so I'm not too sure if she will even see this.
Still, it was good colouring practice for me on the Cintiq and if she does see this, I hope she likes it! I'm so sorry about the delay.

Heee, I have a brush that I use to make water ripples. I could hand draw them, but it would take so freaking long... so I take a wee short cut there. I then lower the opacity, add the bg and character reflection and some base colours for the water. Easy! So many ppl have asked - I guess I should make a tut.

I might have done a mistake. Someone asked if they could make an ElquiderxAquiletan cross and I asked Goob if Elquiders crossbred with other breeds and she said no. So I told the person who asked me no too D:

Nope, Elquiders don't normally crossbreed with other breeds. Faljin is the only ElquiderxAquiletan and always will be. Don't know if you remember this contest: [link] This is the first prize from that.
