Ok, so I finally caved and watched a couple of FIM episodes. The second was the Sonic Rainboom one and I couldn't help but feel a little inspired. Yes, Tyra is doing a Sonic Rainboom here
I know it clearly states that only Rainbow Dash can do them, but if you're going to get cut over this then you clearly need to get a life.I haven't watched any others since then, but it's not bad. The style irks me a bit but the humour and story are quite entertaining. I mingled Tyra with the classic MLP style and my own here.

Love this. I'm partial to the older style too, somewhere between the G1 and G3 style--love the manes and tails of the G3 series. But I love the new series, but don't find them as fun to draw...tried it, didn't like it
Anyway, Tyra looks absolutely epic here. Bet Dashy is over on the side feeling very irked right now

OMG LOVES! I just watched this episode again last night! hahaha I was irked by the style at first too, until I looked at it as an all new series with new characters, that were "sort of ponies" They just aren't as horsey to me as the old ones were. I still am a classic girl who loves the classic style but I like the new one too. I've been doing ponyfication commissions in that style over on FA haha. The new style is MUCH easier to draw. Very quick, but that also sort of takes a lot of the beauty and art of the olds ones away imo. Anyways great job! love this!!

I TOTALLY know what you mean! I like the new one, but ugh I miss the 80s one sooo much! It was so much more fantasy like too. Like the first movie with the dragons and stuff, was awesome. I also really don't like the new Spike. He annoys me. He was much cuter in the old version I think, and he fit in with the ponies more too. Yea they don't spend the time to animate them anymore, its all just flash churned out crap, but as far as stupid shows on TV go now adays, out of a pile of crap, its pretty well done, and looks good haha. But I'm still a die hard pony fan, even if they aren't the way I remember them. At least the male ponies have blockier heads and looks closer to horses. I usually ponyfy all the guys that way.

Yeah, I agree about the guy ponies... there does seem to be more attention to detail towards them. I still haven't watched more than a couple of episodes of fim... I don't think it's even on air here yet. I've only been able to find stuff on youtube. The new style of toy mlps are on the shelves though and really, they are terrible imo... the poses are so generic! Just standing. Bleh.
