Description Some Spoilerations in Description! Not that it matters, you know, unless you havn't read the Seventh Book... LIKE LILITH!~

~relevant part~
This is a comic done for a very AU roleplay with Dranzer. The premise was to tweak the relationship between Lily and Severus revealed in the seventh book, so that Harry was left to Severus in the event that Sirius was unable to fullfill his godfatherly duties. The reason being that Peter was also unavailable, and Remus cannot be given a baby, due to his time-of-the-month. So, since she knew Petunia's general aversion to magic, Lily set Severus at the end of the line, right before the Dursleys. I'm not certain to what extent we explored why Lily did this, but I'm fairly certain that it was an interesting idea we wanted to explore.

This cropped up the question of what sort of father Severus Snape would make, especially towards the child of his lost love and school arch-nemisis. At first, he was very reluctant and spiteful about it. However, I think having another being so very dependent on him for care might soften that side of him somewhat. Eventually, he came to an attitude which was very much, " You're probably not any happier about this arangement than I am, brat..."

Thus came acceptance, then something like affection, then affection itself. At the point where this scene takes place, Harry has come to the age at which he begins to ask questions. Questions like, "Why does Draco have a mommy and I don't?" For, yes, he is close with Draco. Draco is Snape's godson, afterall. Snape, being rational and still a little bitter as he is, gives Harry the whole story as it really happened. This includes that Peter is the true betrayer of his parents, since I think, as a DeathEater, Snape may known that.

~randomness~
At some point, little Harry became very fond of Remus and insisted on putting he and Snape into close contact. They began one of those friendships which isn't very involved, but becomes rather adult. I believe they enlightened Remus as to this lovely fact and he realized that the rat the Weasley's kept was Peter. This, naturally, puts a damper on the fourth book, but we havn't gotten there yet. It also comes to pass that Sirius is released and this creates a breakage between Remus and Snape, as well as some friction over Harry. Severus is NOT giving him up though!

~relevant part~
Anyhow, Dumbledore becomes rather concerned with how Snape is raising Harry. For instance, he dislikes that he is letting Harry in on the entire picture. Someone so young needs a little sheltering, hm? This scene is basically the climactic moment in their arguement over it. Poor little Harry will soon wake up, methinks.

~art-related part~
This was done on the edge of the paper with a mechanical pencil. .5 lead. Its really sketchy, but I think its good, so it goes in the main gallery. Was anyone amused by that story?
