Description
Prince Random, son of King Oberon and Paulette, and youngest of the Princes of Amber.The Chronicles of Amber has to be one of my favorite book series, written by the late Roger Zelazny. Random is just a fun character - in a cast full of super-serious knights and warriors, Random is the only one who seems to have a real sense of humor about it all. He's described as a sneaky and irritating scoundrel by his older siblings.
He's not much of a fighter or a magician, but he's a hell of a card player, and also enjoys drumming and gliding. He's one of Corwin's only actual allies in the books, and he's part of a very surprising twist at the end of the fifth book.
This was part of a project in a raster imaging class I took a few years ago. I've improved since then, but I notice the regrettable lack of Chronicles of Amber artwork on this site, so I figured I'd contribute.

I've actually been wanting to do at least all 9 princes, and I'd probably redraw the three I've already done as well.

Oh wow, this es exactly how I imagined him! Except that I always thought of Random with orange hair, even though Corwin describes it as 'hay colored' or something.
I've gotta read those books again..
