It was leaked by "Retro" that such a game was being made for the WiiU. It seems very legit seeing as I saw it on kotaku and Retro is the company making the Original Nintendo Series games for the WiiU like donkey kong and such.

It just doesn't really work. There's nothing really right with it. There isn't any real context you can make work with this, it would just never happen. I just don't really like when people make characters act out of character. I could imagine maybe if it was Krystal and Panther, because that happened, and Panther is actually interested. Whereas I can only Imagine Wolf as the sort of one night stands with dodgy strangers, married-to-his-job type. I just can't imagine Wolf ever wanting to sleep with Krystal.

If she wanted to she could just abuse Panther to get back at Fox (She did in Command, so what's to stop her again?). Besides, Wolf only wants to kill Fox, he actually respects him as a pilot, in a grudging fashion, of course.

First off, we could spend all day playing the what-if game. Second, no matter how you put it, no one knows the first thing about Wolf. The other SF characters are just as vague in personality/character. Futhermore, Command was just a bunch of different endings. In other words, not canon. To finish, it's art, and should be treated as such. I see two star-crossed lovers in a well done painting by a good artist. You see blashemy in a dumb painting by a heretic. It destroys an unsustainable fantasy of yours that includes KyrstalxFox.
I don't mean to appear as attacking you. It's just that as an fellow artist to CrimsonHussar (author to be exact), it disturbes me to see negative feedback based on biased fear.

I spoke with the guy who drew it in more detail actually, and just because I didn't expect it doesn't make it better. It's like saying being hit by a car is exciting because you didn't see it coming.

It could be exciting... just not to the person who got hit. It's a twist, but I see what you mean. Although I don't have a problem with the concept, I too prefer KrystalxFox.
It's good that you spoke with the artist, and I'd be interested in reading what you have learned.

Don't worry. I was in a kinda assy modd when I posted that comment in the first place.
But yeah, I mean I don't mind pairing characters together, I'd just prefer if it made sense, or if the artist at least tried to make it make sense, y'know. I just can't imagine Wolf and Krystal without reasonable backstory (To be honest Wolf sets off my gaydar anyway. Not in a bad way, it's just that when you have a masochistic best firend and you wear nothing but dodgy leathers then you kinda get that vibe from someone. XD). I suppose I prefer Krystal's pairing with Fox because they work better together as a couple. Though, I wish Fox could be less of a wuss about it in the games though (I'm talking about you Star Fox Command! Even the characters aknowledge Fox being a wuss in that one.).

Yeah, but I think that all drawings are meant to be ambiguous in a way. Picture of 1000 words and all that. It's up to the beholders to draw meaning. Me? I'm not a fan of ambiguity, which is why I'm an author and not an artist. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
I use this concept and the one you mentioned. In it, Fox cares about Krystal, however, he's afraid to admit his feelings. Long story short, Krystal ends up with Wolf who is uncharacteristically nice, while Krystal is uncharacteristically badass. I plan to have a fuselade of origin stories that flow into the nexus/first story. They explain things in the first story like the KrystalxWolf thing. That's what I like. No stone unturned.
