Description The envelope in which this birthday card for ~JackAttackNZ went

Based on the envelopes the Doctor sent River Song, the Ponds, and Canton in the Doctor Who episode "The Impossible Astronaut"

The number on it is 5 mostly because i wanted it to look like it was the next one in the set of cards the doctor sent out. (can't be bothered explaining it better - if you don't get it you don't get it sorry).

The stamps on it are mostly old New Zealand stamps with the exception of the two second from the right on the top row which i used because they looked the most like ones used on the envelope Amy & Rory receive.

The barcode bits i was originally worried i wouldn't be able to get. Two days before it needed to be done however i remembered that there was a baggage ticket still attached to one of my suitcases from when i went to Australia in July last year. By a lucky chance this baggage label was still in relatively good condition (after the bag has been used in various road trips since) and not only that but the barcodes on it were self-adhesive and almost the perfect size and shape

The finished product also had a very precise address written on it in silver lettering (not shown here for obvious privacy reasons). The last four lines of the address however were:

New Zealand
Sol 3
Orion-Cygnus Arm
The Milky Way Galaxy

The envelope was made from scratch using the same blue construction paper i made the card out of.

Make sure to check out the card here:

The envelope I made was designed to fit the tardis card that went with it. The size was completely random based only on the size of the paper i had available (and as i no longer have the card/envelope I can't tell you the exact dimensions i used). The real envelopes from the series were sized differently to mine anyway - you might find this post helpful though: [link]
