Description
Lucrecia, Hojo, and Vincent's corpse. Speedpaintage. Perspective and light theory - what are these things?As always, there's a story here, but I'm too tired to tell it. You can make up your own bits and pieces.
...and, y'know, it's occured to me that I've done a few similar pieces along the same train of thought:

...I guess I just really like my mad mad Lulubelle. She's so hysterical in DoC; I'll always prefer her as the cold calculating kind of crazy... Just like her hubby.

You know what is sad? The more I think on it the more I can't blame Hojo for shooting Vincent...I mean... some Turk, the son of his rival, came in a fucked his wife. Or at least Dirge heavily hinted to an affair....so...I wouldda shot him too in Hojo's shoes o.O

They're not even married when the affair was shown, are they? In fact, it stopped after Vincent was dumped in favor of Hojo so I doubt it's plausible that he'd shot a rival when she clearly chose him.

FFVII timeline is ridiculously hard to gather but from the research I did her and Hojo were seeing each other when she cheated on him because she fell in love with Vincent. But then her guilt cropped up from nowhere and she went back to Hojo to marry him. At least that's what I /think/ went down. It's not very clear XD

Hmmm.... actually as I've known it, Lucrecia was still single before Vincent came into the equation. Both are not even romantically involved with each other and Hojo has been implied to be attracted to Lucrecia only because of her beauty and intelligence but beyond that, he feels nothing considering the fact that he never even called her by name outside the ones where he addressed her at all. And she in turn is implied to love Vincent when the words "Vincent" and "I loved" are in the same segment. If she had not been the indirect cause of Grimoire's death then she would've chosen Vincent in a heart beat. It's just that as Vincent said, she only she's what she wants.
Tvtropes did not even label them married as Lucrecia is only Hojo's lover in it. They would've mentioned her marrying him if the creators indicated that. But since all we get is canon Hojo/Sephiroth biological ties then it's only a speculation that she married him when for all we know, she may not have married him at all.
On another note, I see the appeal of Hojo/Lucrecia ship but only because the x-rated hentai I've seen had paired an ugly (professor) guy to beautiful students. In other words, I'm talking about Hojo sex appeal and not his appearance. Still not enough to make me ship them though. Sorry about that.

I kind of see the story here like this: Hojo killed Vincent because he was in his way and he wanted to get rid of him. Lucrecia tries to bring him back but suddenly Hojo finds the two of them.
Luc: "Not one step closer to him or....*scene in the picture*"
Hojo: ".......*shocked/silent/thinking* ...You care about him that much?"
Luc: "*silent for a moment,thinking* Yes."
I can see Lucrecia's expression before me. Blank and seemingly emotionless, yet so much determination in her eyes. Just because Hojo can read how serious she is about what she is doing he is so shocked.
