I've actually been able to get closer to these particular bats, close enough to touch (which of course I didn't) but that individual was calm within my presence. :3

Caught just at the right time. Flying Foxes are actually very very big up close. :3
We sometimes have them fly over during evening hours around my house.. but tis hard to capture due to the light etc..
