This illustration is for the contest, promoted by disney princess fans, is a historical contest, and when i found it i thought it was very interesting.
My target was to picture Alice in the typical atmosphere of the old fashion victorian photographs, and with proper victorian clothes, children used to wear back then. I have been searching lots of pictures of victorian kids.And my historical event is the actual writer, who wrote Alice in wonderland, because the story happens in the same period as when he lived.
The colors, are bright, because althought, i try to caught the atmosphere of the old victorian photos, i wanted to add some magic to the illustration, and the white rabbit is unreal cause is meant to mark the beginning of the story.
