Condorito is a renowned Chilean comic strip created by René Ríos, better known by the pseudonym Pepo. Beginning in 1949, the comic series follows the adventures of the protagonist Condorito, an anthropomorphic condor living in Pelotillehue, a fictional Chilean town.
Yayita is Condorito's "fashionable eternal fiancée." She loves him but dislikes his reluctance to discuss marriage. Although Condorito often gives her flowers, most of the time they come from her own garden. Yayita is strong-willed, very attractive, sharp-tongued, and sometimes jealous (though she isn't above flirting with other men to gain Condorito's attention).
