There's just something about the way she pwned all those jerks with her bare hands. 
Yeah, definitely sent a big fat message 'Do NOT mess with Isabela' to the room and a hell of first impression for Hawke... and for myself.

I liked Isabela and Varric so much because they are so uncomplicated! They are not committed to a cause, hold no particular grudge against anyone and don't really expect much of you. I'd say in a D&D they'd be the neutral good and neutral chaotic class. The rest of your companions want you to commit to something or to take positions or to help them in missions that go against your beliefs and they want to talk you into sharing their beliefs. Varric and Isabela will mostly talk you into sharing a beer

I liked that scene, and it was a good introduction for Isabela.
Oh one little thing about her. If you slept with her in Dragon Age Origins, she will say "I even knew the Hero of Ferelden", meaning, "I even slept with the Hero of Ferelden". If you did sleep with her in Dragon Age Origins, Alistair and Leliana will have something to say about it if they also slept with Isabela. I won't say more so I won't spoil what happens.

I think it was the best introduction to any character in the game but, of course, I'm kinda partial to martial arts myself!
I managed to beat Isabela in the card game with some help from Leliana, so I won't get those comments. Too bad, because anything with Isabela is usually a laugh

Meeting Isabela after having slept with her in Dragon Age Origins is really funny. If Alistair slept with her, he would say "Oh...Isabela...so nice to see you". If Lelilana slept with her, the conversation references how Leliana "didn't take long to start singing" XD
