I think the crazed elven fanatic was probably one of the funniest characters of the game. No joke. I laughed a little at her when I first met her.

Fanaticism seems to run rampant throughout Kirkwall, doesn't it? The Templars are fanatics, Anders is a fanatic, the Qunari are fanatics, the elven lady is a fanatic.

Totally. I find myself more comfortable around the not-fanatic members of my group, like Bethany, Varric, Isabela and Aveline. It's so weary to be a fanatic!

Yes, and it is even more weary to be around a fanatic. I only have Anders around because of his healing abilities. I usually have Sebastian and Aveline with me as well. In Act 1 and the two DLC quests, I have Bethany instead of Anders in my team.
