This is a work created for a client, but at the end, they didn't use it. I had to create something using the figure of Santa Claus but in a kinda of "Dali style". I always loved the Dali's works and I had them as my main reference when I was just an art student, so I loved to do this tribute
I don't make many digital paintings, but I liked the result of this one.

Este é um trabalho criado para um cliente, mas no final eles não usaram. Eu tinha que criar alguma coisa usando a figura do Papai Noel mas num estilo meio "Dali". Eu sempre amei os trabalhos do Dali e eu os tinha como minha principal referência quando eu era apenas um estudante de arte, então eu amei fazer esse tributo.
Eu não façø muitas pinturas digitais, mas gostei do resultado dessa.

Hi Chris,
I do underground dance events that are non-for profit but done to the highest levels of professionalism. One of the strains that puts us under is having original artwork for our fliers at a no cost. If you can find it in your heart we would be very grateful if you would allow us to use this image for our boxing day event (just confirmed minutes ago, and I stumbled upon this looking for something else - serendipity!)
We will put you on the flier and the night flier with links to your work. The last artist we even ran competitions that encouraged people to visit her website so her hits increased.

I mean by digital painting the works all done in digital painting technique, I mean, drawing from scratch with the tablet without using photos or 3D renders as support. My other works have some sort of 3D or photos added to them.

to me digital IS digital (painting or drawing) cuz there aren't any real live pencils OR paints involved

yeah, but in digital field there's some "cheats" and it's important to tell how the work was done.
For example. I can get a photo, apply some brushes and call it digital painting, but, for real, it's not a digital painting, it's just a photo retouching
