It's pretty much an insignificant change really
I would recommend you try to learn basic sketching( it would improve your sense art significantly)
As for how you draw, I would prefer if you drew out basic shape first then go into details like eyes, nose, fur ... later.
I see that you tried hard but you need to know that practice makes everything better and don't feel bad cause I also have had a time where i can't even doodle a face.And also, don't take this critique too seriously, I just tell you how I think of your work as of now and try to give you an honest opinion.
Anyways, keep on practicing.

thank you, I appreciate it! I'd love to hear what you think of my digital art instead since it's more refined and my sketches are just for fun (they usually take about 5 minutes and minimum to average effort is applied). I'd love to hear more of your opinion and I can't wait to improve

Sorry for the late reply but yes your digital art is more refined than he traditional one
But for advices, you could try to use shapes to determine the anatomy of your characters
