Very interesting... I did exactly the same thing with Kaidan in a couple of my renders. With all the extreme stress those men have endured during the war, it's only normal for their hair to have gone gray prematurely.

Yes, and (in Shep's case) let's not forget the rebuilt-from-dead part. Could've advanced or held back a lot of natural effects I'm sure. So many possibilities~
