Zappa number 3 of 7...Camariilo Brillo, which I think is one of his 'hits'.
The track's about a hippy groopy lady, she bares lots of cliched mystic objects such as amulets, tarot cards and voodoo dolls...and a snake. I reckon Zappa is suggesting that she tries to be a part of every new scene, so there's a lot of random crap about her person.
Anyways, I took an odd direction with this...the way Zappa describes her almost makes it sound like she's a super hero. The line "She could throw a mean Tarot" just made me think of Gambit! So I went Marvel all over its arse...whilst trying to keep campyness to a minimum and hippyness to the ultramax!
I'm chuffed once again. Don't think it's as good as 50-50 but I'm happy largely because I think I pulled off a dynamic pose...and I think she's quite a looker.
Once again though, be nice and harsh! I'd like to know what you guys an' dolls think.

I love the pose and character. She looks like she could take on any guy, even thought she appears to be to young to go gallavanting off in the middle of the night.

if im forced to be critical the things that stand out are the red ribbons. for some reason in question them. the transparency seems disconnected maybe... maybe cos you lose some of that nice texture... i wonder what i would look like blended on multipy... maybe theres nothing wrong with it at all cos at first glance it really seems to work .

amazing stuff.
This is my favourite zappa song, especially live versions of it that were followed by muffin man like in baby snakes.
I like the super hero idea, works oddly well and I'd never of thought of it.
think you missed a beat by not having the dwarf she was raising for a siekick though

Those lines have got to be the greatest way of saying the girl got around that you could ever possibly have.

she has 2 right feet... is that intentional? it fits her character either way!
