Just another type of fish kitten. Again, silk flowers were used for the tail.Haiku:
Japanese garden
cascade of shimmering scales,
meows, and bubbles
Materials:
styrofoam, clay, acrylic, ultrafine glitter, silk flower petals for the tails

They kind of are. Goldeen is based on the Kingyo (Japanese goldfish) and Seaking is pretty much based on Koi (Japanese Carp). There's a detailed explanation of the name origins of them here: [link]
