I'm proud to announce the introduction of a new LQoB side project that I'm working on called the Tales of the Radetzky 5th which are series of short stories focusing on a trio of Lethian landwehrs from the 99% female 5th Radetzky battalion and their adventures. Below is a short bio of each character:

-Lacey Waltz was one who’d try to be the life of a party. Her single father did his best to give her a comfortable upbringing, often spoiling her with gifts despite their less than wealthy economic situation. Lacey would often attempt to socialize with others, occasionally hanging out in between work periods. Encouraged by her father to pursue a degree in nursing, Lacey signed up for an educational program that would help pay for her university tuition fees in exchange for a few months of service in the Landwehr.

-Alwin Frankie always felt like a waste of space doomed to failure. His wealthy parents expected much from him, always demanding more even when he couldn’t be their perfect trophy son. This sense of failure combined with his insecurities about his girlish appearance and geeky interests had made him an social outcast unable to find any comfort in life. He found himself discarded onto the street after he failed to meet his parent’s expectations. Desperate to get away from his current life, Alwin enlisted in the Landwehr against his own better judgment.

- Judith Schmidt couldn’t recall a moment in her puppyhood that he felt happiness. Growing up in a physically and emotionally abusive low income household was an exhausting endurance for her that was slowly driving the poor lassie mad. It didn’t help that her angst had netted her very few friends who’d put up with her emotional outbursts. Upon coming of age, Judith ran away from home as far as she could and to never look back. After a few weeks of wandering from town to town in search of a job and residence to no avail, Judith decided to enlist in the Landwehr to secure some semblance of purpose in life.
