I know that it is not confirmed that Dororo and Hyakkimaru loved each other, but I think that the open end of the series makes me understand that since he returns for her, previously having promised to always be together xD In question, I think they both do not overcome much in age and apart it would be very normal for there to be attraction because during the series there was always a totally natural chemistry, not to mention that Hya has never referred to Dororo as a little sister; As for Mio, it was certainly his first love, but even if he had survived, in a work that tries to cover several aspects it would be difficult for him to stay with her since he did not contribute as much as Dororo to the development of his character.
