Description Colored cover to Art the Amoeba #2. I went for the opposite of the cover of 1, employing holds in the foreground as opposed to the background. It achieves a depth I like, but I also want to approach each cover differently to give them each their own individual flavor.

I like this even more, seeing it at a fuller size. The color-held approach really works marvelously.

I don't want to overdo it but I almost want to tinker with it some more and make it look like it's painted or something...that might be overkill, though.

I don't know if a painterly approach would be appropriate, given the sort of animated-style artwork. But, it might gel in ways that I'm not imagining now. I guess you'd have to try to find out.
