So I'm not 100% sure if I'm fully ready to commit to this character yet because I really only made him for design practice but I'm sure he'll grow on me. I would like to edit his appearance a bit more as this is just initial concept art, like say give him more battle scars and accessories seeing as he's from a warlord flock.This hiisihound's name is Slick, he's 10 years old and he is a common medium from a warlord flock based in an Australian(?) desert, essentially he is a warlord's battle fodder, though he fully believes himself to play a very important part in his leader's battles, despite essentially being a dime a dozen.
Slick is an Australian Koolie mixed with an Australian Magpie.
He has not yet discovered any hidden ability within himself yet aside from being a berserker in battle. And the awful profanities his Soultwin has picked up from humans.

man, i am so lucky i saw this before designing my hiisihound cuz i almost did a magpie and an Australian cattle dog (which isn't a koolie yes, but they're similar) still gonna do a magpie though. it's funny, you'd think you'd make a Hiisihound with a chicken after reading your profile, since you seem to like chickens...? it's also funny because magpies don't like chickens, lol where i am, there is a mating pair of magpies and they keep swooping my chickens.Β btw this hiisihound is really cool!

Actually I'd say still go for your original design, I don't think it's been stated anywhere that everyone's design had to be completely different, Like I've seen a lot of hiisihounds with owl soultwins so far and at least two with harpy eagles. Plus it's not like I'd be one of those jerks saying "oh you stole my idea". Draw what you want mate! Don't let anyone stop ya!

Oh no! I'm sorry! I was going to make a chicken one at first, but then I saw that the creator already had one as an example in the gallery so I wanted to make something that didn't already exist.Β
I have a Koolie mix breed irl so I wanted to base my hiisihound off him somewhat, and magpie seemed like the best match for it...

oh cool. and yeah, i am keeping the magpie part of my hiisihound and just changing the hound part. i didn't like the way the hound part looked anyway on mine so i just redid it and it looks even better, now i just have to colour it.

Excuse me, but hiisihounds are a copy of an already closed species, Fennekeets! Fennekeets were created long before (years ago) Hiisihounds. Unfornately, hiisihounds have gathered much more popularity, but they are a stolen concept. Please, at least have a look. www.deviantart.com/journal/kinβ¦

*huffs* Here we go. Look I was not aware of this when creating this character, and I don't think i'm the one you should be addressing this matter to. That being said, it's just a bird and a dog fused together, at the end of the day it's not too impossible to believe that someone else came up with this idea without having previous knowledge of the already existing one, people have been drawing dogs with wings for years, an idea "stolen" from the original concept of griffins I believe.
I'm not going to start a full on artist war about the foolishness of believing a closed species will remain just that forever, but at the end of the day human creativity only goes so far before everything starts getting rehashed without us realizing.Β
