I really love this, kinda makes me think about why I write. To tell the truth I think I write because it connects me to others like yourself.

It gives every little perspective of people who write!
I write (an amateur at best though ^^") and this whole poem describes how I feel about writing.....but I still dont really know!

Why do I write? Quite simple. I write to give life to my dreams, fantasies and often my nightmares. I write to give them life so others may be inspired to bring theirs to life.

This is a great text. I really like it and the feeling of.. something like "distance" that lies beneath the lines (or maybe it is the feeling that I read into them, I don't know), it's hard to describe; even in my native tongue I wouldn't really find the right word.

Yes, maybe apathy is the closest to what I mean. (A picture would describe it best though, it's like a person floating in an ocean, wondering in which direction he/she floats whereas not really sure him/herself whether he/she cares about the direction at all. .... Ok, maybe a picture doesn't work either. :'-D)
I'm from Germany and though I'm good at understanding English (reading and watching english movies/series very often) I've got trouble expressing myself. Sadly.

Haha the picture works plenty and don't about the expressing yourself thing, i have the same problem and English is my native language, its one of the reasons i write literature.

Haha, I love this. You did a brilliant job. I don't often read writings on Deviant Art because I use it more for browsing, well... Art, but this caught my eye. And since I have a fond spot for poetry, I decided to read it. Certainly was not disappointed. Touched my heart.

This was definitely something I was able to easily relate to. It's one of those things where as I was reading it I recognized having the same feelings and ideals throughout the poem and it continues to make me realize that most artists are generally the same. Okay that sounded to bland. What I mean is, most artists, in this case writers, can feel connected through thoughts and ideals like those you conveyed in the poem. Now obviously we carry these thoughts and ideals in our own way, some are stronger than others, some are just different, but we all express it our own unique way and style. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's something like this that reminds me that there's a whole community of people who I can connect with because, even if they come from different backgrounds or lands or use different mediums and have their own styles, we at least have one thing in common: we're artists. Well... I hope that made sense..... -_-

The concept is interesting, but to be honest, I feel like this is a very flat poem. There's a lot of generic description here that's choking what you actually want to say; I think more personal, unique imagery would really liven up the work.

my original concept had alot of in depth imagery and it was three pages long, had to shave somewhere, so i decided to take away a lot the imagery in the poem and force in alot of crude emotion. sorry if it takes away from your overall enjoyment of the poem
