And here it is, colored.Bertrand featured in the the University Newspaper's "Staff Pick of the Week." He was well known as a favorite among his students, even the ones who weren't choosing to become anthropologists, known best for his laid back but informative style of teaching and the familiarity with which he approached his pupils.
I tried a new coloring style on this one... Did it pretty messily and I'm not entirely sure what I think, but oh well. We'll get it looking okay. Some day.

A little voice in my head is wondering whether the mother's eyes are hazel or not. Just because of the biology of how the daughter's eyes are blue. Otherwise, I love the coloring here!

Ned looks incredibly tall in this picture, but I love it very much, the little bit of gray in his hair makes him look sort of distinguished. And I quite liked the way you could really see both parents in Lucy's face.

Nah, the rest of his family is just really short XD Asian womenz He's around 5'10"/5'11", while his daughter is around 5'1" and his wife is 5" It's actually based on the height of my parents.

I'm just concerned over the dark blotch on their faces. O_O

It's around those areas of the face where the blush happens because the blood vessels are so close to the surface. I like putting skin tone variation to add something. In my usual coloring style it's made more subtle, this one had a different result.
I don't think it draws away from the picture, but, meh. My opinion.
