Eels - I need some sleepMy white hat inspired this picture for some reason. I was traveling back on the train at night (which I love doing btw, one of my fave things) and I saw these two guys just sitting together, and one had fallen asleep just like that on his friends arm. I had to quickly sketch the basic body positions as i was about 10 mins away from my stop, and I added my white hat into the picture.
This is in no way displaying homosexuality. In fact that's one thing that I hate about this country. We are so quick to jump to conclusion, and for alot of people, they cant comprehend or understand that anyone can be close and still be friends. Any remote form of closeness and they MUST be dating, it REALLY annoys me.
I am so sorry for this being so late, considering when I posted the lineart, but I have been swamped with coursework and preparing for the exhibition.

this picture is so cute and im glad that someone else agrees with me! If two boys are close that doesn't mean they are gay, one time I was with my friend and we saw these two guys walking together and they were having a good time with one another's arms on the others shoulder like lots of guys do. my friend, Fran, looks and whispers to me 'wow, they MUST be gay" i got so mad at her i couldn't believe that she had said that! Like you said any form of closeness and other people think that those people are dating, i miss that time where a simple show of affection like two boys having fun together, or two girls laughing didn't mean that they were dating.

This is great! And you make an excellent point too -- while I don't mind homo based pictures -- I also find it immensely frustrating that while girls can have a close, hand-holding relationship accusation free, men aren't so fortunate. North America is the worst for it, since we're so touchy and obsessed with personal space...other countries aren't this worried.
Beautiful though, I love this scene.

I'm actually Canadian, but it's almost the same. XD I'm glad it helps -- I also have many opinions that sound ruder than intended when expressed...it's good to know people are on the same page, instead of being overly touchy.

Oh this is nice...and I like your small rant...you have to say stuff like that sometimes...it just looks like two friends, close yes but just riding...now if they where kissing or something just as intimate that would be different. I am so faving this!!!
