With everything that happened to Sunset since PonyTwilight arrived, I thought Gamma was going to be full protective-ballistic and flooring Celestia and Twilight (not decking them but making some crazy display of magic ) ^^.

Celestia: oh wait you ran away before we covered that topic, a family cutie Mark is a rare type that follows a family line blessed by harmony for example the Sparkle family Luminar Nova the purple star burst regardless of what talent you have and what cutie mark you gain the family mark will always be part of it for example ours is the stylised sun, sun salutation. Luna inherited mother's family mark umbra which frames the cutie mark she got the moon. Its hilarious when ponies mistake her for a pinto.

Hmm... I never know Cutie Mark can be inherited... But yeah, the prime example is the Apple Family, where their Cutie Mark is somehow related to Apple.
That also say that Sunburst is... Related to Sunset, which also related to Princess Celestia? Ooo, this family tree is getting interesting. I always thought Twilight and Starlight are related.

Gamma, sweetie, its going to be alright. Its just your mom's other dimensional counterpart who happens to be a goddess in her home realm that is in charge of the concept of friendship. I mean, one of your friends / rivals is a living construct imbued with the power of ca. 15+ eldritch abominations and four chaos gods. And lets not forget the previously mentioned meatloaf incident. Or the episode with the toads. Or Pinkie Pie. Is this really any weirder than that?
