Aslan eat your heart out. This is really fab. I'm so impressed. Any tips on fur techniques, I always struggle there, that and doing hair. You've captured this so well. Good choice of background as well, the hint of blue in the top left is like this little slither of hope, (again tying nicely in with the Narnia/Aslan theme altho I suspect that wasn't what you were thinking!)

Hm, fur techniques? It's rather difficult to explain... I use a fine pointed brush myself and try to imitate the hairs of the fur with subtle brush strokes, making sure they follow the direction of how the individual hairs grow, also being less detailed in distant areas and more detailed where you want the focus of the animal to be, like around the eyes and nose. Have patience and experiment a bit, and i'm sure you'll find a good method that works best for you. I hope this helps

I don't know how to explain the appearance of this painting... There's a great deal of detail, but not every tiny hair/spot/imperfection is included. I rarely +fav recently, but this is so so SO amazing that I cannot not fav.
